So, if you read Christy's blog you know that her kids had the chicken pox and that "the chicken" finally left her home! Well, guess what?! It came to my house! YUP - no lie!! (Any advice in how to sooth him?)
My 3 oldest have been vaccinated for the illusive chicken but Lane hasn't - because he's less than a year old! Before the helmet fitting yesterday I noticed a tiny blister on his head and then this morning there were a few more. By this afternoon there were a few more little blisters (in his ear, on his neck, etc..) so I took him in to make sure it wasn't a reaction to the grass or something! NOPE - no reaction here -just a little chicken making its way into our home! So there you have it! The Dr.'s were funny - we had a few pop in to take a peek because they hadn't seen chicken pox in so long - thanks to the vaccine. They all said "wow" or "yep - that's what it looks like in the books!". It was funny! So - the poor guy - he gets to endure the helmet fitting yesterday and today the chicken! Doesn't my house seem like the hopping place to be?! Wanna join my fun?! (maybe you better not-you might go home with a Chicken!)

Oh, so sorry. Poor little guy. Lots of oatmeal baths with some epson salt or sea salt and caladryl lotion. Cut the fingernails, short and hope for a mild case.
I am sooo sad for him. It is too hard on a little baby that can't talk and tell you where it itches. NO fair at all. I will say a prayer for him.
