After Mykenzi was done it was Kahlyn's turn. I told Kahlyn to get a book and look at the styles. She picked a few that she liked but she was under the impression that what it looked like in the picture was what it would always be. Once we convinced her that she would have to maintain the style that she chose it was her turn. I gave her free reign to pick what she wanted....
She picked a short one - they started by rubber banding off the portion that was going to be cut first - in hopes to donate it to "Locks of Love" - unfortunately they need 10" and we were only cutting 8" (well, 8" in the rubber band part). LET THE CUTTING BEGIN....
As the hair comes off Kahlyn just keeps talking about how different she looks and how her friends won't recognize her! She says that she's a "tween" now and she needs a grown up haircut! (OH MY - here we go!)
Ta Dah - here they are! The girls have fresh cuts and don't they look cute? They had fun - they were the only ones in the Salon so all the attention was on them! Brook (the stylist) did a great job and we enjoyed our experience. Tim loves the "new" looks that his girls have and later this afternoon we took Kahlyn to Claire's (at the Mall of Louisiana) for her to get something - she bought lip gloss, a make up bag with a K on it, and some nail polish! Tween years - here we come!!
