2008 has taken us on a roller coaster of ups and downs and the year flew by just as fast as a roller coaster would too! Here is a quick look back...
* The year started off with me slipping on the ice and bruising my knee cap. That little spill sent me in for x-rays and a brace for a few days!
* We started to see a decline in K's ability in school and made the decision to pull her out of private school and move her to the public sector.
* We traveled to Louisiana and for 2 of our kids it was their first airplane ride!
* Saw the damage of a tornado, hurricane, and snow storm!
* Left K with grandparents to "see the USA" and she loved it!
* went on a cruise with great friends!
* fell in love with an island
* celebrated a first birthday
* watched L learn to roll over, sit up, crawl, walk, and feed himself!
* M graduated Kindergarten and moved on to 1st grade
* N graduated pre-school and entered Kindergarten.
* K started public school
* cried when I watched my sister and her spouse become an eternal family
* K won 1st place for her photo in the Reflections contest
* Kids spent a week with grandma while we went on that cruise!
* Saw ALL of my family members at some point this year!
* Tim moved to a new job
* attended a funeral, introduced N to his extended family.
* white water rafting - 1st time
* was reminded of the love of our Savior more than once
* felt the love of friends more than once
* reconnected with old friends, made some new ones that will be in my heart forever.
* started a blog!
* learned that some people never change, they will never change, you can't change them!
* became a soccer mom
* Learned that life will go on even if 'sheep-le' are allowed the right to vote!
* was released from my first calling in our ward.
* celebrated 12 years with my hubby!
So there - just a few memories that are still in my head from this past year. So farewell to 2008! It was a pretty good year for our family. Nothing major that threw us for a loop, knocked us off of our track, or sent us over the edge! Does that mean that 2009 will be horrid? I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But for now, I'm grateful to have healthy children, a loving spouse, and a roof over my head. So, bring on 2009!!!
