SATURDAY - July 18: Today I thought it would be fun to go up the mountain to Mueller park and have a picnic. After all, it was 100 degrees, so going UP made sense - it's a lot cooler UP there! So we made a picnic lunch and loaded up the van for, what we hoped to be, a fun Saturday afternoon. Not 2 minutes after we got out of the van did M start throwing up! We thought she might just be hot, so after a few bites of lunch we went and put our feet in the nice COLD stream! M seemed to perk up! The kids played in the water and took a little walk until M laid down on the bench and begged to go home. She started vomiting again! So after only an hour, we left. Before we got home, N started throwing up too, and by 6pm, K was in on the game as well. It was a long night....
SUNDAY: No church for these kids - just laying on the couch...recovering!
WEDNESDAY: Tim loves WINGERS! He had some left over wings and L really wanted some. We kept telling him that they were "hot" but he just stood there and pouted until Tim gave him a bite. After that he just sat there looking at Tim, with sauce on his face. I think he was letting his sophisticated pallet decipher the flavors!
THURSDAY: We were expecting company to come in on Thursday night and since we had all been sick it was also time to really deep clean the house and rid it of those nasty germs. So, I put all the kitchen chairs in the yard, gave the kids sponges, we turned on the hose and they went to town. HA - clean chairs!! SO COOL!
FRIDAY: our Friday started SUPER EARLY. K and I got up at 5:30 am to go with Grandma Sandy and Dennis to listen to AA sing in the tabernacle! What a neat experience. (the pic in the upper left hand corner has a white spot right next to her head!). The performance was AMAZING! We listened to Elder Jensen speak about "having a cause" and the music was so wonderful. Afterwards we took a few pics outside and then we walked down to state street and watched the "Days of 47" parade. We didn't' stay for the whole thing, but while we were there we did see President Eyring (do you see him - he has on yellow gloves!). We also heard lots of bands play and saw lots of fun floats. What a great morning!
