I have a few pictures for you from the past few weeks. N is officially on the "D-backs" team and he loves the colors (especially since red is one of his favorites!). M lost some teeth and K has been busy as usual!
Baseball has officially started. N is on the "D-Backs" team and he is having a great time. There was a late entry to their team - N's best friend Nick! Can you believe that? So, they'll be playing together again this year. N's coach is doing a great job of teaching the rules of the game and giving the boys various tips. He is also rotating their positions so that they get an opportunity to experience all of it. N played his first game by starting off at 3rd base. Of course he is batting as a lefty in this game - but in practice he's been hitting whichever way feels comfortable. This is the first year off of a pitching machine too - and N is getting some great hits the more he gets use to the balls flying at him.
On Friday night Tim and I took N to see the Salt Lake Bees play. It was a great game to take him to - not only did the Bees win but the crowd was small so it provided N with a clear view of the field and we were able to tell him more about the game. I think it really helped him to gain a better understanding of where everyone is and why by seeing it from "up above".
Mini Society is in full swing at K's school. This is an opportunity for the kids to make something and sell it - using class money of course. They learn how society works, what people want, how to negotiate, get more for their money, etc.. K and her partner were making jewelry. K made these necklaces. They have 2 more weeks to go so we'll see how she fares.
Soccer is still going strong for K. 2 weeks ago she scored 2 goals - leading her team to a 3-0 win. She was thrilled! Last week they played an "Amazon" team. They were all foot taller than K's team and they played rough. K got a few good shots in - but nothing materialized and they lost BIG TIME.
M lost 2 teeth in a one week period. Now she can't eat an apple!! (but it's keeping her from sucking her thumb too!)
Finally - spring pics from school came back. N's were horrid and we sent them back promptly - but the girls' - well, they were cute. The problem is that the package was $52.00 to buy - or a single pic for $15.00 - YIKES! Couldn't do either, so I just took a pic of what they looked like and sent them back. I hate that they take pics twice a year!!
Anyway, there you have it - that's what's happening here!
