Growing up!

Well, as stated in my previous post, M wanted to get hear ears pierced today. So - when I picked up N for his Dr. apt, I also checked M out of school. Tim came and grabbed N to go one direction and I took M up to Layton to intentionally inflict pain on this sweet little, unsuspecting girl!

Oh - she was so very excited. She hopped right in the chair and anxiously awaited!! The gal (the ONLY GAL WORKING) explained everything that she was doing... in this picture they are putting the dots on her ears to make sure that the holes will be even.

M chose little, blue titanium balls to wear for the next 6 weeks! The gal loaded the gun and pulled the trigger... OH YEAH... M was brave - she really was, despite the tears that you see. Since the gal was working alone - that meant 1 ear at a time (by far the worst way to do it - but M wasn't going to leave without earrings!) So, after the first ear there were a few tears and cringing as she prepared for the 2nd ear.... the time in between ears seemed like eternity!!
But then out came the bowl of suckers and that's all it took to get a smile out of this young lady!

and VIOLA - earrings! She used her b-day money (thank you Mrs. Martha) to purchase the earrings that are now in her ears. She is so excited and is ready to show everyone! She did way better than K did at this age - and I was pleasantly surprised!!
