Meet BRUNO - a member of the cruise director staff and in charge of making sure you have fun! Bruno is from Argentina but was raised in England - so yeah, his accent doesn't really match him! He was hilarious and way fun to be around! We played lots of games with Bruno!
Giant Jenga!
N was a ROCK STAR when it came to this game!
We also played the "Conquest Amazing Race" and N won a coveted "24K plastic gold ship on a stick"!
Hasboro game show!
I got on stage!!
Do you see me? I'm holding the green box!
Giant chess - on the ocean - anyone?
We spent a lot of time on the deck - swimming, watching football and relaxing!!
I think Grandpa R filled that mug with soft serve!
LSU football anyone?
yup - this deck invites fun and relaxation! It was awesome!!
Of course we ATE and ate and ate....the Pizza Pirate was one of L's favorite places!
cute huh?!
no one can resist the chocolate buffet!
ice-cream swan, anyone?!
M loved "Guy's Burger Joint" - it really was so tasty! She would add bacon to her burger too!
Thank goodness for the hot chocolate machine - my friend!
mmmm...breakfast on the last day - always bittersweet!
Uncle Pickle took advantage of the ice-bucket in his room and filled it with soft serve. He also crushed up some cones and put them in there and proceeded to enjoy this frozen treat during the Hasboro game show!
We waited in this area a lot - the elevators are slow sometimes!
Headed to our room!
Mr. Wii is making a towel animal for the kids!
We made a different kind of animal!
The kids didn't really want to leave
K made a bunch of friends - this is Reilly - Tim didn't approve (neither did Grandpa R or Uncle P!)
This is the club that K spent 90% of her time in!
This was N's favorite spot - but you had to be 18 to go inside, so he settled for checking the scores on the TVs outside the bar!!
A candy shop on board - what child can resist?
N was sad that we didn't play at the arcade - oh well!
This is the club that M hung out at - she loved it!
Grandpa Niels and K, waiting to dis-embark!
Don't you love funship Freddy?!
Hello New Orleans!
I see the Super Dome...GEAUX SAINTS!
We had a great time - we really did. However, I've determined that cruising with kids is not nearly as relaxing as cruising without kids! It's a different kind of fun but you are never really off of "mom duty". Don't get me wrong - we enjoyed our time together, made lots of memories, and have oodles of stories to tell. HOWEVER - the next cruise is going to be KID FREE!! I'm so proud of the kids for saving their money for this trip. They really did great the majority of the time - we saw so much, laughed a ton, and experienced things that we'd never seen or done before. Thank you to everyone who helped make our trip possible (Uncle P) and fun!!
