SUNDAY (3-22-09): Since our weekly review was a little late last week, this one will start on Sunday! Tim and the kids returned from Colorado. They really had a good time branding cows! N said it was the best weekend ever and he wants a cow of his own now. I asked N if it was stinky and he said "yeah, but I loved it!"
MONDAY: L decides that 2 bottles are better than one! We had just 1 in the house, but on their weekend adventure, Tim thought they had lost "the one" so they bought another! On the way home they found "the one" under the seat in the car! Tim also brought home some plants for me to love! How sweet!
TUESDAY: K was invited to help teach the first and second graders about "Oral Traditions". Her assignment was to go to the library and share a story with them. It had to be memorized. She was chosen for her talent in this area, along with 4 other 5th graders. She had a great time. She made up her own story ("Why the First Cats had no Tails") - it was how a cat jumped off the ark to catch a mouse and just as Noah was closing the door the cat jumped back on but the door slammed down - cutting off his tail. HA - funny story - the kids loved it! In addition to this, Tuesday brought the first night of Soccer practice for K! Here we go again!
WEDNESDAY: K came home beaming today. She received this award from the UT Board of Education in recognition of her scores on the Iowa test. Later on Wednesday, N's first soccer game was cancelled due to rain. Bummer!
THURSDAY: We woke up to snow! Oh JOY! Today also brought dress rehearsal for K and N for the school play. K called me at 3pm and explained that she needed a skirt. Long story short, at 3:29 I was walking out the door with a newly made skirt! I'm so proud of me -I've never done that so fast in my life! And guess what?! It fit in the waist and length. YEAH!
Later that night it was time to tackle the remaining parts of K's John Adams report. So out comes the cricut machine and to work we went! L wanted in on the fun too - he just sat on the table and watched the cutter go to work! Thank goodness that M and K's soccer games were cancelled due to field conditions or we might not have gotten this all done!
FRIDAY: Ah, the end of the week! It just flew by! This morning K dressed like John Adams for the "wax museum" that the 5th graders were doing for the school. I got up early and hit a local bakery and got donuts for N's class - today they will celebrate his b-day! He got to wear a "crown" and then when we got home he wanted to be John Adams too!
So there you have it! It's been a wild week and it's just getting started! We are entering into baseball and soccer seasons. We have 3-4 nights a week, every week, until the end of May that are already booked up!! Sounds exciting doesn't it?!

Doesn't sound exciting to me. I don't like it when we are that busy. You handle it better than I do. Those donuts look yummy!
