Update on M
Yesterday M had a Dr. apt. For those of you that are interested, allow me to give you a brief run down of what happened! M arrived - with her dad - at their scheduled time. They were taken back almost instantly! The Dr. talked to M and looked at past blood work. They determined that her Eosinophyls were elevated (an antibody that fights allergies and asthma). Upon seeing this, the Dr. ordered another blood draw (which M was SO JOYOUS about - HA) to see where the current levels are because this elevation can also be an indicator of Celiac's Disease. Sometimes Celiacs is ONLY manifested in short stature. M has the body height and weight age of a 5 year old! A bone age was also ordered and M had that done yesterday as well. The entire ordeal took less than 2 hrs - WOW. Now we are just awaiting test results to determine our next step! So - thanks for the prayers -keep em' coming!

Wow...I wouldn't have even thought of celiac, but that makes sense. My nephew has it...he is about the same size as M now. They diagnosed him a year ago, and he is finally starting to grow. Bryan's allergies make him eat like celiac, but his are just allergies, so not quite the same thing. I'm hoping they get this figured out soon. If it is celiac, I can't wait to start swapping recipes! ;)
I LOVE the green arm bandage... LOVE IT
Brave little M. Hope there are some answers with all that pain. We love M.
