AH - let's take a look at some pics from this past week! It was a crazy week indeed - but there were some fun things that came out of it! N had his FIRST ever pinewood derby, and K did her FIRST ever Science Fair. M and L were their usual selves - happy go lucky and as for me, I still have all of my hair - so that's a good thing, right?!
Tim and N put a lot of work into N's car. N drew out the design weeks ago and Tim cut it. Then they went shopping for paint and such. They drilled out a place for the wheels, the weighed it, they BONDED! Finally it was time to paint it - N picked black and gold - and he wanted an X across the front. So - Tim taped the car for him and let him go to it. He did a pretty good job. He even painted the extra weight gold because after they cut his car down to nothing - he had no choice but to ad the weight on the outside! It turned out just fine! Finally race day approached and N could hardly wait to get home from school and get going. Before the race could start - the boys that had rank advancements received their badges. N received his Bobcat patch and he was so stoked about it! Then all the cars were placed on the table and it was time to start pitting them against each other. N's car was #88! As you can see - he did really well in the preliminary races. He got 3 firsts and 1 second for a total of 5 points which advanced him to the finals. When it was all said and done, N placed 5th overall. Not too shabby for his first car ever! He was so happy with that - and so were we!
Also on Friday was K's science fair. We had worked for weeks on a seismograph and then the genius tells us (just 6 days ago) that the project had to do with the solar system, light, sound, or heat. WHAT?! I flipped - and not in a good way. So we scurried around and decided to build a steam boat instead. It took all week- but we finished in the nick of time! She got a cigar tube and made a boat - and tested the speed that was produced by the pressure and steam built up in the tube. The results of the science fair won't be released until Monday - so we'll see how she did. I think it wasn't too bad for only 6 days, but man that seismograph was gonna be AWESOME!
Finally - these are just a few fun pictures from the week! Before you jump on me about my naked son - he likes it this way and NO - I'm not in the habit of taking his picture in this state. Besides, if I'm sitting home all day - then why get him dressed just for him to derobe again? Anyway... we found M at the science fair and she paused for a picture! Then I had to laugh when I saw L on the couch watching TV, naked! Of course I had to snap a pic of M and L together - they are so cute - and then we saw them sitting in a bucket together - they are too funny!
Then later in the week I found L in the tub - riding his little car (thank goodness there are no electronic parts to it) and finally, L loves it when K plays her violin. On this particular day she was playing twinkle twinkle for him and he started dancing - and yes - he was naked!
So there you have it!!

That was L in the tub riding his little car...wasn't it? If not, N has taken some "Benjamin Buttons" medicine or something. HAHA! What a week! Makes me tired just reading about it. Way to go K on the science fair. And nice racing N! Glad you all survived a packed week.
I hear congrats are in order for Kahlyn...good job girl.
