yay for pictures!

This year's theme for REFLECTIONS is "Together We Can...". Each year the kids like to enter something into the contest. They aren't necessarily looking to win, they just like the goodiebag that they get for giving it a shot! The first year that K entered she won - do you remember that? Then last year K got Honorable Mention and M and N just got their goodie bags! (they were thrilled). So here we go again, another entry! The projects and ideas have to be done by the child and the child only... so you can imagine the things they come up with!

M decided to do "Together We Can... make the world happy" - and she made a paper mache world, little stick people and stuck them all around the world. She did a great job and entered her project into the 3D category. She won't care if she gets anything - as long as that goody bag is in her lap during the assembly!

I tried to talk N into doing something about Bullying - but he wouldn't bite. Instead he wanted to do "Together We Can... stop wildfires". He entered his project into the art category. Just like M... he really just wants the goody bag that comes with loads of coupons for free food and treats, gum, candy bars, etc... They really go all out on these bags!
L didn't want to be left out - so he joined in the painting fun too... he said that he painted a fire truck... hhhmmmmm......
So, updates on the outcome will come as soon as I am told when the assembly is! I'll let you know too!
