VIP

Every year, Sahara Cares puts on a carnival to honor children who have been diagnosed with Autism. This has become a tradition our family, especially M, looks forward to! It's amazing to see all of the volunteers come together to make sure that these kids have a spectacular day and that they feel like true VIPs!
In years past, N has missed out on climbing the rock wall because the lines are so long. So this year, N made sure to get in line first thing! He worked really hard and made it all the way to the top of the wall and rang the buzzer - you should have seen the smile on his face - he was so proud of himself!!
Like every year, the kids got their faces painted and L wanted to be a TIGER! He was so funny!

They played games and earned prizes, they had lunch, snow cones, popcorn, and more!! Mrs. Utah was there and M thought she had died and gone to heaven - a "real princess"!
Finally, one of M's favorite activities was the trampoline. This isn't your typical tramp - nope - you get put in a harness and there are poles on both sides of you that can raise you up or lower you down, making your bouncing experience even more incredible. M was raised about 15 feet in the air and the gentleman that you see would grab her feet and pull her down to the tramp and then let her go!! WHEEEEE....she loved this!!!
Thanks again to the Sahara group who does such a fabulous job each year - we had a great time and we look forward to joining you again next September!
